Request a Quote for Custom Busbars

Send a drawing and the electrical conditions, and we will review the part for manufacturability before quoting. Most enquiries come back with questions first, because a busbar quoted from an incomplete specification is a busbar quoted twice.

What to include

ItemWhy it is needed
2D drawing or 3D modelDWG, DXF, PDF, STEP or IGES. A dimensioned PDF alone is enough to start
Continuous currentSets the cross-section, together with the conditions below
Ambient temperatureA rating without an ambient is not a rating
Free air or enclosedAn enclosed part derates significantly against the same bar in open air
Withstand voltageSets the insulation build; the material figure alone does not
Areas that must stay bareContact pads, holes and weld zones are masked before coating
Quantity and target dateTells us whether the profile runs on existing tooling

What happens next

The drawing is reviewed for manufacturability first: bend radius against stack thickness, pad size against current, insulation clearance at the cut edges, and whether the mask lines leave room for the fasteners. Where something cannot be built as drawn, the question comes back before the quotation rather than after the first article.

Two numbers usually decide whether a program fits your schedule. On existing tooling a first article takes 3 to 7 working days from drawing approval. A profile that needs a new bending or stamping tool takes 10 to 20, because the tool has to be cut and tried before any part runs. Insulation adds 2 to 4 on either route.
