About Varnek Busbar

Varnek Busbar Co., Ltd. has manufactured insulated and laminated copper busbars since 2012. The plant is in Shunde District, Foshan, Guangdong, China, and supplies custom interconnects to battery pack assemblers, energy storage integrators and power conversion equipment builders.

What we make

Every part is built to a customer drawing. There is no catalog, because a busbar is defined by the space it has to cross and the current it has to carry, and both are specific to the assembly it goes into.

The product range covers laminated flexible busbars for battery modules, rigid stamped and bent copper bars, braided flexible connectors, and cell contacting systems with integrated sensing where voltage and temperature sensing is built into the interconnect. Cross-sections run from small module links to cabinet-scale bars.

Processes under one roof

Stamping, CNC punching, bending, welding and plating run in our own plant, and so do both insulation lines. That matters for two reasons. Lead time is predictable because no step waits on an outside vendor, and a coating problem can be traced back to the copper it went onto rather than stopping at a subcontractor boundary.

Insulation is where most of the engineering judgment sits. We run PVC dipping insulation for busbars and epoxy powder coating in a thinner film, plus heat-shrink tubing for prototypes and low volumes. Contact pads, holes and weld zones are masked before coating and unmasked after cure, so the joint surface stays bright plated copper.

How parts are verified

Dimensional and visual inspection covers every part against the drawing. Salt spray, dielectric strength, cross-cut adhesion and temperature rise are run to the international standards and their Chinese equivalents, with a first article report accompanying the first production batch. The methods, the standards behind them and what appears in the report are set out on the how every part is checked against the drawing page.

Who we supply

Battery pack assemblers and module builders account for most of the volume. Energy storage integrators take the same constructions at larger cross-sections for rack and container systems. Power conversion equipment builders use them between inverter stages, contactors and fuses. Customer names and program details stay confidential, which is the same protection your own drawings receive.

A Chinese manufacturer, stated plainly

We are a manufacturer in China, not a trading company and not an agent. Quotations, tooling, inspection reports and the parts themselves all come from the plant in Shunde. Overseas buyers ask this question early and deserve a straight answer, so it is on this page rather than buried in a form reply. Factory visits are welcome by appointment.

Working with us

Send a 2D drawing or a 3D model with the continuous current, the ambient temperature, the installation condition and any areas that must stay bare. We review it for manufacturability and come back with questions before quoting. Lead time from approved drawing to first article is 3 to 7 working days on existing tooling and 10 to 20 working days where a new tool has to be cut, plus 2 to 4 working days for insulation. Capacity and process detail are on the capacity and process detail page.
